First Day of School

with a new home, new schools, first child to start high school- i think chad and i were almost in shock.

brayden was so excited to start second
grade at a bigger school....he really wants to ride a bus,
we'll see about that!
chandler looks so grown up and handsome.
all ready for high school.
our boys, ready to start their first day at brand new schools. as we send them off in disbelief- we pray for their hearts, that they both stay true to who they are and to their love of Jesus. they are both such good boys, chad and I are very proud of them both.
we are excited to see what this year holds...

we quickly realized driving them this year is going to be a little tough but we dropped them both off,
on time but in tears...

Gotta love the freckles...

Scuba Park

we went away for chandler to get his final certification in Scuba Diving!

it was very weird while we were kayaking - knowing that your our son was under the water for an hour or so while you were boating.....you naturally wondered- when is he coming up for air- daaaah?

we are so proud of him!

Miss you already

My dear friend Amy is moving away.
When I think about it, I ache. I will miss her so much.
Even though she will be across the country...
I know we will always be friends.
She means the world to me, we have a friendship that is one of a kind. I respect and love her very much.

Love you so much Sweet Friend. I will miss you, Chris and the boys. Know that no matter what, I am always here for you...I am just a phone call away.
Take care and keep in touch.

Michigan

As a child, I went to our family reunion in Michigan every year. Since, we have been married, I have not had a chance to go. This year, with my sister turning 40- I decided to go.

So, Brayden and I flew to Michigan - Chad drove Chandler to a lacrosse camp at UNC.

This picture I love, when I was young....it was such a big deal to swim to the dock. Bray went out in a raft and eventually he was swimming to it. It was emotional seeing my son...create memories that meant so much to me as a child!

Tubing...there is a really good story here, but I wouldn't want to embarrass Melynda.

I cherished the time with Melynda...last year at this time we were in Ireland together, this year a cabin in Michigan...but truly- any time together is wonderful.

Notre Dame

we had a great time. brayden had a blast with all our family. while I missed chad and chandler...I enjoyed this week with my little man!
