Roasting Marshmellows in the House?

My friend Amanda is refinishing our breakfast table. So the boys built a tent - in place of it. So to make the campout "real", we decided to roast mini marshmellows...with a toothpick...in a tealight candle! They were actually really good.

Time with Friends...Happy Birthday Laura!

Last night I got to have a nice night out with my girlfriend, Rose. Time away to catch up, ...It was really nice to have some one on one girl time. She is an amazing person...both of us are always trying to figure out our way through this life, as godly woman - trying to be a good wife, mother and friend- Rose is. I learn alot from her. I am so blessed to have her.

Tonight I got to go to dinner and to a Bryan Adams Concert with my good friend Laura for her Birthday.
We had the best time. Our dinner was awesome- and the concert was amazing. I was truly in awe of him. He has had a long career- alot of really great hits. His voice was amazing! All the songs he sung...he sung while playing the guitar (and sometimes a piano player) but, it was so simple and beautiful. It was really cool to watch him on his guitar...because that is Chandler's new interest. (he just got a guitar and takes lessons at his new school) So, we had a blast! Happy Birthday Laura!!

These 2 girls are dear friends of mine. I am so blesed to have them in my life, I am not sure what I would do without them! But most of all...I am blessed for my family. My amazing husband who has taken care of the boys and our home the past 2 nights...and tonight- he took off of work, on a busy night - for me to celebrate Lauras bday! I am so grateful to Chad. For my life, for our boys and most of all for who he is- not a day goes by, that I dont thank the Lord for Chad. He works so hard to provide for us, he is a good father and husband- ...I pray he knows how much we appreciate him.

Pumpkin Carving

Chad, the Boys and I went to a Pumpkin Carving Party last night. We had alot of fun...talking, carving the pumpkins and just hanging out with friends.

Braydens Neverending Birthday!

Today Brayden had his party at school. Above He is holding his cupcake I brought for the class. They had gummy bears on top...that's what he requested!

He was so cute Smiling, as all the kids sung him Happy Birthday!

After- I got to read the class Braydens favorite book....and guess what he picked- the Bible! We also brought all of our Bible Characters- all of the children got to pick/hold one as I read the stories. The kids - and ecspecially Brayden- really enjoyed it.

Chandlers first day at His New School

Chandler had his first day at his new school. He is going to a very small, private, all boys school.
We are very excited about what this school has to offer. Though we were VERY sad to leave our old school- it was a part of us, family. But, we can rest in knowing that the friendships and relationships we made, will last. And now its time to make new ones, at a new school.

Cant they stay small- a little longer?

As I put Brayden to bed tonight. He told me he was all done being four, that he is ready to go back to three. I asked him why...He said "because I cant do all dat stuff my brudder does...I am wrr weed mommy" So I explained to him, that his brother is alot older, that he has a long time until he is Chandler age, not to worry. He teared up and said "my worry is, you wont be able to carry me anymore, so 3 is fine.."

So, as I am sitting here crying- I thought I would share that with you all. Hold on to those moments (main reason why I blog!) they truly go by to fast. At a blink of an eye...he will be starting middle school...like his big brudder.

Happy Bday Brayden!

So today is Brayden's Birthday - He is four! Below he is on Skype with my family in Ohio. The kids sung Happy Birthday....after they got a cake and candle and sung again. It was so cute, Brayden was trying to hard to blow the candle out (over the computer!) He turned Purple! It was hilarious!

Chandler got Brayden a Bakugan and a Transformer! He was so excited!

Brayden ran to the mail man, waiting on Aunt MeLyndas Gift...he as dancing as he opened it! It was a Leapster! Or a Gameboy like Chandler- is What Brayden thinks!

Braydens Birthday!!

We cannot believe Brayden is 4....Look how grown up he looks in his little glasses!

He had a little party at a local place. (we didn't get to invite all his friends) The ones that were there, had a blast. He was in heaven with his transformer napkins and cake (oh its the little things!) At the end, Chandler handed out the favors I made...( there is a pic) They were ceramic piggy banks that I painted their names on. After we went to Red Robin to open his gifts with some friends...

We love you Bray! You light up our days! You bring a certain silliness and joy to this family- that we need! You are growing up to be such a sweet young man. You are such a blessing to us, we thank the Lord for you and the past 4 years of joy!

We got to see Third Day!

We got to go see Third Day! It was alot of fun! The kids had the best time!
The drummer pointed Chris out at the end and gave him his Stick! How awesome is that?

Here are the boys...we were like 3 rows from the front. By then end of the concert, they ended up in the Front Row!

Me and one of my closest friends, Laura. She means the world to me. A mother of 5, an amazing friend to me!

I love this picture of Chandler. This is before we met everyone for dinner. He bought this hat...He is starting to get his own little style. Isnt this mosaic chair cool!?!?!

At the end of the concert, we all went to our cars..(figured I should get Chandler home - being that he first day at his new school was the next morning!) Well, Laura got to met the band...the bus was near her car! She said they were so nice, Mac signed a couple of things and took a picture with them! Bummed we missed that part! - but so blessed we were there at all.

Daisy's Wardrobe Change!

Since Daisys the only girl in the house I get to dress up-we have to have a warm and a cool outfit...right? So with the cold weather lately, we got her a sweater today. Here is her summer tutu - that we are putting up for next year!




And here is her winter sweater. Doesnt she look so cute!
Chandler also got her a training leash for walks- which cracks me up, because she is the dog that cries to ride in the stroller when I walk her!

Me- Home Schooling?

I made it! and Chandler did too...! It has been very challenging yet rewarding!
I have a new respect for my friends that do it and for teachers!! Wow.

One thing I had to do was let the house go.....(as you can see below!)

One thing we got to do was make Chandlers Homework board for school. He will have all of his supplies, notes, calendar, agenda...on this board. Hopefully he will be able to work behind it and not be distracted... Not be distracted- we'll see with all the cool stuff on it! Here is a picture of it...We'll see how it goes!

Monday Chandler starts at his new school. So maybe we will finally have some sort of real schedule! I just pray its a good fit for him and our family!

Happy Birthday!

To Ben and Gwyn! It Rhymes! We have had alot of Birthdays lately...But I wanted to post about these two...I love these families and kids like they were my own, the boys think of them like family...really. I cannot believe how big they are all getting!







The boys both got her separate gifts...and wrapped the gift themselves. Braydens was hilarious. He got her a rescue hero that is a girl...for when they play them together...She wasnt very thrilled with that, she liked Chandlers princess crown and wand better. Hee Hee!
